Yosemite
There is a spiritual grandeur to Yosemite that is unique and wonderful. The images here are drawn from many years’ visits to the park; I never tire of returning to find more.
Rock, Water, and Ice - taken in the early spring just after a snowstorm. The falling watter froze to the cliffs as it decended from the heights, creating a magical scene of rock, ice, and water.
Meodow Pine - late afternoon in Yosemite Valley as the sun was sinking behind El Capitan this lone pine was silhouetted.
Valley View - a quiet fall morning along the Merced river in Yosemite Valley.
Half Dome Alpenglow - for just a few minutes, as the sun is setting on the far end of the Valley, Half Dome is bathed in golden light, reflected in the Merced river.
Moonrise over the Ahwahnee - seen from the meodow near the Ahwahnee Hotel, as the full moon was rising over Half Dome.
Fern Springs - this small spring is known to have the clearest water in all of Yosemite Valley.
Bridalveil Falls in Spring - in full flood, the roar and mist of the waters dropping thousands of feet was awe-inspiring
Taft Point - overlooking Yosemite Valley, this promontory provides an amazing view for those willing to approach its edge.
Dogwood - each spring the dogwoods bloom throughout Yosemite. Made near Fern Spring, with the Merced river providing the backdrop.
Early Morning at Lower Yosemite Falls - on a chilly, snowy morning in the early Spring, my fingers so cold I could barely work the camera.
