Portraits
Portraiture is not something I spend a great deal of time on, but occasionally I have any opportunity to explore this fascinating sub-genre, as when I took a natural-light portraiture workshop in 2025 with David Burnett.
Young Woman in Headscarf - during a workshop assignment I was wandering around downtown Palo Alto with a group of fellow participants, and we saw this lovely young woman sitting with a friend. We asked her if we could take her picture and she agreed. I love the play of light on her scarf and dress, and her lovely and serene expression.
